Yes, we also use GL-5 oils in Germany withouth corrision problems on the synchronizer rings. The mentioned SWEPCO 210 is 80W140, meaning pretty thick stuff. The temperature problem we all have is pretty bad, as the gearbox very easily heats up to 90°C, even higher in summer and mountainious terrain....
